Suicide prevention

Battle Ground Public Schools is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for students, families and staff. The district works to:

  • Increase awareness of mental health issues among school-aged youth.

  • Connect youth and families with needed services.

  • Provide training for school personnel, families, and community members to detect and respond to mental health issues in children and young adults.

Battle Ground Public Schools has counselors at all of its schools to support students and connect them to mental health resources when needed. The district also has created partnerships with mental health partners in the community who can help students in crisis. Visit our mental health resources page for more information.
